Dia Internacional do Jazz – Jam session

Comemoramos o Dia Internacional do Jazz com jam session liderada pelo saxofonista César Cardoso que convida para a abertura desta sessão:

Óscar Graça – piano; Francisco Brito – contrabaixo; Pedro Felgar – bateria

A sessão começa às 22h30, com um set do grupo residente, passando depois para jam aberta aos músicos que queiram participar. Entrada livre.

Dia 1 de Maio

 Jam session com Bruno Santos

As jam session de 3ª feira contam com um músico convidado que lidera a sessão.

Em Maio teremos o guitarrista Bruno Santos com:

João Moreira – trompete; Romeu Tristão – contrabaixo; André Sousa Machado – bateria

A sessão começa às 22h30, com um set do grupo residente, passando depois para jam aberta aos músicos que queiram participar.

Noite de Combo

A Escola de Jazz Luiz Villas-Boas | HCP regressa ao Clube, desta vez com combo orientado pelo professor Nuno Costa.

Tammy Weis & Trio

Tammy Weis was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with a great-grandfather who played banjo and violin. She is fifth generation musician. She dedicated her first album, Legacy, to her late mother (who sang country music) and with the release began an international career starting at the Montreal Jazz Festival followed by several North American and European venues. She released her second album ‘Where I Need to Be’, in London at a Sold Out Ronnie Scotts in 2010 and in the same year she was nominated for London Jazz Vocalist of the Year. Her newest project is based on the poems written in English by Fernando Pessoa.

Carlos Barretto, was born in Estoril and found his love of music through his father who played guitar and chromatic harmonica. At ten years old, he entered the National Conservatory of Lisbon. In 1984 he settled in Paris, and worked throughout Europe. He came back to Portugal in 1993, started his projects as a leader and composer, has recorded nine CDs in his own name and collaborated on more than twenty works of musicians like Bernardo Sassetti, Carlos Martins, Bob Sands, George Cables and Mario Delgado.

Rui Caetano began studying classical music at 10 years of age. However, it was in Jazz that he found the ideal expression for music, heading to New York where he obtains a degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music at New School University. He later integrated the faculty of several jazz schools in Portugal. He has two CD’s with original repertoire. He has performed on piano with top musicians on various national stages over the last 15 years.

Joel Silva In 1997 Joel began his musical studies at EMOL where he completed the 5th grade and 7th grade Percussion Musical Training, and as a tool for teachers, Rui Gomes and Manuel Campos. Since 2004 he has performed in various jazz festivals in Portugal, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Angola, France, Macau, Spain, Slovenia, Cape Verde, Switzerland and USA. In 2014 he released his first album entitled “Geyser” which was quoted 4.5 stars on the site All About Jazz.
