Gustavo Figueiredo
pianista, compositor
Nascido em Belo Horizonte, Gustavo Figueiredo actua profissionalmente desde
1999 lecionando, gravando e tocandocom importantes artistas brasileiros como
Vander Lee, Beto Guedes, Toninho Horta, Gilvan de Oliveira, Marku Ribas,
Nivaldo Ornelas, Marcio Bahia, Célio Balona, Kadu Vianna e outros. Vencedor do
Prêmio “BDMG Jovem instrumentista 2005” e “Prêmio BDMG Instrumental 2007”. Com
seu trabalho próprio vem tocando em diversos festivais e shows pelo país. Em
2014 lançou o CD intitulado “Trio” e em 2015 gravou um DVD ao vivo. No final de
2018 estreou um novo trabalho interpretando importantes compositores da música
brasileira com novos arranjos e uma linguagem contemporânea. Actualmente prepara-se
para lançar novas músicas autorais.
Para o show no Cascais Jazz Club dia 01 de Novembro, Gustavo Figueiredo
apresenta-se ao lado do contrabaixista Zé Almeida. O Programa inclui
composiçõesoriginais, bem como de importantes compositores brasileiros e norte-
americanos como Tom Jobim, Dori Caymmi, Djavan e Milton Nascimento, Duke
Ellington, Herbie Hancock e Chick Corea
Gustavo Figueiredo
pianist, composer
Born in Belo Horizonte ( Brazil), Gustavo Figueiredo has been working professionally since 1999 teaching, recording and performing with important Brazilian artists such as Vander Lee, Beto Guedes, Toninho Horta, Gilvan Oliveira, Marku Ribas, Marcio Bahia, Celio Balona, Kadu Vianna and others. Winner of the “BDMG Young Instrumentalist 2005” and “BDMG Instrumental 2007 Award”. With his own work, he has been playing in various festivals and shows around the country. In 2014 released the CD titled “Trio” and in 2015 recorded a live DVD. At the end of 2018 debuted a new work interpreting important composers of Brazilian music with new arrangements and a contemporary language. Gustavo Figueiredo is currently preparing to release new copyright songs.
For the concert at the Cascais Jazz Club on November 1st, Gustavo Figueiredo will perform alongside bassist Zé Almeida. The program includes original compositions, as well as important Brazilian and American composers such as Tom Jobim, Dori Caymmi, Djavan and Milton Nascimento, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea.

Frequentou o curso de Piano e composição da Academia de artes e novas
Tecnologias.
Estudou Piano Classico durante cinco anos.
Frequentou os cursos de Piano e Percussão na Esola de Jazz do Hot Club.
Em Inglaterra completou, com distinçao, o curso BTEC National Diploma in
Popular Music no Bournemouth and Poole College.
Iniciou-se a actuar em publico, aos 15 anos, como baterista substituto no
Casino Estoril,
Durante os dois anos que estudou em Inglaterra, fez parte do quinteto de Jazz
«Jazzmania» como baterista.
A solo actuou como cantor e «entertainer» acompanhando-se com sintetizador e
piano-solo, em diversos «Pubs» e restaurantes salientando-se o exclusivo Club
privado «The Mansion House» em Bournemouth.
Actuou diversas vezes acompanhado pela «Bournemouth Big Band» no «Pavillion
Theatre» de Bournemouth e realizou dois espectáculos cantando musica de Frank
Sinatra. «Tribute to Frank Sinatra» e «Sinatra Swings Again» acompanhado pela
«The Eddie Robinson orquestra».
Desde entao tem actuado em diversos hoteis, casinos e salas de espectaculo na
zona de Lisboa.
Artista com quem se apresentou nos últimos anos Renato D´Aiello , Philip
Hamilton, Aldo Zunino, Art Themen, Jay Core, Maria Viana entre muitos outros
É pianista residente no Cascais Jazz Club desde 2012 ( interrompeu a residência
entre finais de 2016 e princípio de 2017 e , mais recentemente em Outubro de
2018 para ser pianista residente no celebrado clube de jazz londrino Ronnie
Scott`s
GEORGE ESTEVES piano and vocals
George Esteves began his musical career at 15 years as substitute drummer in the Estoril Casino.
He studied classical piano for five years, continued study of piano and composition at the Academy of Arts and New Technologies, and also attended piano and percussion courses at the Hot Club Jazz Escola.
In England he completed, with distinction, the BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music in Bournemouth and Poole College.
During his two years in England, he played drums with the jazz quintet “Jazzmania”. He also performed solo as a singer and entertainer with synthesizer and piano in a number of pubs and restaurants in Bournemouth, including the exclusive private club “The Mansion House”.
He was accompanied by the Bournemouth Big Band at the Pavillion Theater in Bournemouth, where he also held two shows singing Frank Sinatra’s music, “Tribute to Frank Sinatra” and “Sinatra Swings Again,” accompanied by the Eddie Robinson Orchestra. Since then he has acted in numerous hotels, casinos and showrooms in the Lisbon area.
He has performed in recent years with many artists, including Renato D’Aiello, Philip Hamilton, Aldo Zunino, Art Themen, Jay Core, Maria Viana, among many others. Since 2012 he has been a resident pianist at the Cascais Jazz Club, interrupted in late 2016 and early 2017, and again from October to November 2018, to be a resident pianist at the celebrated London jazz club Ronnie Scott’s.

Max Costa nasceu em Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, mas mudou-se para Porto Alegre logo após o nascimento onde viveu até a idade à adulta. Aprendeu a tocar violão quando passou no exame admissional para a faculdade de Engenharia Química, curso no qual participou em diversas bandas de rock e blues.
No início dos anos 00 lançou dois discos independentes com a Banda Dive-POA. Compõe em inglês por considerar que esta é a língua do Blues. Tem por característica uma voz agressiva e rasgada, que faz com que os seus temas sejam ainda mais tocantes.

Max Costa was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, but moved to Porto Alegre soon after the birth where he lived until his adulthood. He learned to play guitar when he passed the admission exam for the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, where he participated in several bands of rock and blues.
In the early 00’s he released two independent albums with the Dive-POA Band. Composed in English because it is considered the language of the Blues. Its characteristic is an aggressive and torn voice, which makes its themes even more touching.
